This is a variation or preparatory work for a portrait that Kamen undertook in 2014 of his close friend, jewellery designer Judy Blame (see related image below) in acrylic, graphite, pencil and masking tape. The phrase ‘Love me Tender’ is from a song by Elvis of the same name, evoking a tender feeling of friendship and love for his long standing friend.
